1st Heyford Park Scout Troop
Do you have a young person who is interested in joining the adventure with our active Scout Troop? Then please send us an email at scouts@heyfordparkscouts.org.uk and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Alternatively you can call Candy or Nigel on 01869 233383.
Scouts meet between 7.00 – 9.00pm every Monday evening. We meet mostly year round including school holidays with the exception of Bank Holidays. We are a small troop but the advantage of this is that when we do activities there is very little waiting around!
As a troop we do a lot of activities and try and camp at least three times a year, in the past we have visited Staffordshire, Brownsea Island, Northampton, Nottinghamshire, Wales, Hertfordshire and the Peak District. We love survival camps, wide games and basically anything outdoors. The highlight of our year is our Summer Camp which is usually held in July/August which is a fun filled week of activities which have included quad biking, climbing, scuba diving, air-rifle shooting, go karting and caving.
All new starters will visit the troop for two weeks to see if they enjoy themselves. At the end of this period, one of the leaders will discuss with you when your son / daughter will be invested into the Troop.
